Heidi Klum was born in Bergisch Gladbach Germany on June 1st 1973. Erna Klum who was Heidi's mother was a professional hairdresser. Gunther was the father of Gunther and a senior executive at a cosmetics manufacturer. Heidi's mother was the manager of production of 4711 Parfum. Heidi was raised at Bergisch Gladbach which is a town of 100,000 only 6 miles to the east of Cologne. The former model from Germany, Heidi Klum is now an actor and television host. Klum's career as a model began in 1992 while she worked as a barmaid in a Dusseldorf club. Klum had to compete against 25,000 competitors from Germany and Europe to become one of the three semifinalists. In April 1992 she won the highest prize of $300,000.
